Die
Casting A most important link in our processing chain
is our fully-automated casting with the latest technology in both
Shenzhen, China and Hultsfred, Sweden. With 20 years of working
experience Hellmer Group can handle large volumes and manage short
lead times.
In premises covering an area of 6 000 square metre we have a most
experienced staff, on average 15 years within the Die Casting industry – We
really know the business. Today we are proud suppliers of complex,
high-precision aluminium castings to high-tech Industries. The
machinery and equipment are based on the most up-to-date technology
for the efficient handling of ingots. Fully automated Die Casting
cells with continuous process control ensure a uniformly high quality,
and our after-treatment unit includes throughput tumbling, washing
and drying.
Central Melting
The molten metal is divided and transported from the central
melting furnaces to the warming furnaces at the robot steered
Die Casting
cells. At present we manufacture castings in EN AB- 44300 and
EN AB- 46000 alloys (other alloys also possible). The alloys
are carefully
verified frequently with our spectrograph.
Fully-automated Die Casting
Our Die Casting machines have a clamping force from 560 to 800
tonnes. The Die casting tools are connected to the central
vacuum system, which provides the effective evacuation of air from the
tools. The Die Casting process is monitored continuously
for vacuum, press effect and temperature to ensure a uniform high
quality.
Each Die Casting cell is served by a robot, which removes
the cast components from the tools and places them on pallets
in
the pallet
feeding system.
After-treatment
Basic after-treatment, such as the de-burring and tumbling of
components, takes place directly in the Die Casting unit.
